France Government asked to ban alcohol near Euro 2016 venues

According to the BBC, French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said: “I have asked for all necessary measures to be taken to prohibit the sale, consumption and transport of alcoholic drinks in sensitive areas on match days and the day before, and on days when fan zones are open
'Finally unacceptable' Uefa said it had begun disciplinary proceedings against Russia — but not England — after “totally unacceptable” scenes at the England-Russia game which ended 1-1.Charges against Russia are for crowd disturbances, racist behaviour, and setting off fireworks, Uefa said.
Meanwhile, the Daily Telegraph reported that England captain Wayne Rooney would record a message asking England fans to behave themselves following a severe threat that the country could be thrown out of the competition.
The England captain will deliver his plea at the team hotel on Monday in a message that will then be released publicly with the Football Association also writing to Uefa in formal response to the organisation’s warning. AGENCIES
